Making Fish Tacos at Home?

Head over to and spend the day at the Chelsea Market!

The Chelsea Market is not just a great place to buy seafood, it's a great place to see/buy/eat food in general. What is the Chelsea Market? Well, to some, its nothing but a glorified mall of food items. To me, however, it is food awesomeness under one roof. It has cheese (I could start a blog about cheese, I think), wine, sweets, produce, restaurants and the offices of the Food Network. Like I said, one can spend an entire day just wandering around the Chelsea Market admiring the yummy food stuff that is waiting to be devoured. With respect to Tickle Me, however, the Chelsea Market offers a fish taco lover a great place to buy fish - The Lobster Place.

The Lobster Place is well-known in NYC as being, well, a lobster gold mine - they are the largest supplier of lobsters to restaurants in the city. Not only do they have excellent lobster, they also offer an array of seafood including several types of fish perfect for a fish taquito. Beyond seafood, to be perfectly honest, the place is just cool. See, The Lobster Place has a Maine-inspired vibe to it that brings it class and character - very nautical and very warm. It also it exudes a "we sell good fucking seafood" aura, and we all appreciate good fucking seafood. More importantly, The Lobster Place is a family-owned and operated business that is unpretentious and easy-going.
So, instead of buying your fish from your local C-Town or Pathmark, make the journey to the Chelsea Market, take a friend or loved one and have fun. Oh, and buy your fish at The Lobster Place for your fish tacos.

  2. Nautical, and good fucking seafood....ummm, yes please! Just send the word, and I'm crashing that joint with a schooner, and slapping together the best damn fish tacos you've ever seen... Ok, it probably won't be so dramatic, but I like the sound of what this place has to offer.
